It is so exciting to be able to pursue multiple endeavors and nearly every single person in any type of financial success suggests multiple streams of income so whatever you do fulltime you need to have some type of added income. Because I am working so frivolously towards my future, I do get quite exhausted pretty quickly but I still try my best to show up and show out every single day no matter what I do. However, once the afternoon rolls around, I often hit the midday slump and can not seem to find the energy for my workload(s). Following, are my personal tips on how to power through your own slump and get your productivity back on truck without another coffee!

My very first tip is the most simple but works incredulously-go outside! I get away from my workspace and just go for a short walk- at least ten minutes in the fresh air will give you enough time to clear your mind and relax. If you do not have access to this, or the weather is too harsh, you can just step away and sit and meditate.

Communication is one of the best ways to clear your mind, way too often we like to bottle up thoughts and emotions but being able to release it in the form of small conversations about virtually anything can help you refresh your mind.

Deep work is a new concept for myself. The idea consists of scheduling 2-3 hours in the morning when you have the most concentrated energy for the most important tasks. I’d usually allot 2 hours in the morning to just be on my laptop to answer as many emails as possible. Then I’d schedule meetings after lunch because that enables me to communicate with people and be more engaged.

One of my favorites would be to change your scenery. Working on the same desk area for 8 hours a day can be very dull and will cause you to lose your inspiration. For meetings, I love a good spacious conference room or if you need alone time, make sure your cubicle is well decorated with things that will inspire you! Small and soundproof is always a plus to isolate you from distractions!

I keep some of my favorite products with me on my office space. Since I have drier skin, I love to refresh with the Mario Badescu Rose Water or the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. I also lather creme over my hands because air conditioning can be extremely drying. When work gets in the way of life, I hope we will not forget to give time for ourselves. At the end of the day all we need is some self-care!
