Now that holiday season has officially ended, a lot of us either head back to our hometowns to spend time with our families or hop on a plane for a holiday vacation. In either scenario, celebration of the holidays can take a toll on our bodies especially since we have to head back to work once all the fun is over. I swear by detoxing to reset both my mind and body after the season, and since I’ve been working much more often, it’s really helped me.

Since we can all feel a bit sluggish, exhausted and dehydrated once the holidays are over, I wanted to share some of my favorite detoxing tips with you. On the other hand, it’s crucial for to note that you should still enjoy the holidays to the fullest and not let the thought of its aftermath get to you. With that being said, here’s how I reset after all of the fun!

One of the most common things to feel after constant celebrating is dehydration. I’ve made it a point to drink as much water as possible every day, not only when I’m working! And it has helped me stay more alert, active, and feeling healthier.

One of my favorite, effective ways to detoxify your body is by actually sweating out the toxins. If you can head to a sauna or hot yoga once you’re back and settled at home, your body will thank you. You’ll feel more rejuvenated and relaxed, perfect for getting back into the swing of things.

Treat yourself and indulge in a nice, warm bath for about 15-20 minutes. Add some detoxing bath salts to gently flush out the toxins from your body. You’ll feel like you’re at a spa, but in the comfort of your own home.

The benefits of tea are bountiful, and there are plenty of detoxing teas out there for you to experiment with. Swap out your morning coffee for a cup of tea- or have some to sip right before bedtime. It’ll help your body relax and get back to business, all while enjoying the aromatic herbal flavors of tea.

I do not want to be an advocate for any specific brand, however after trying out HUM sleeping vitamins, I do believe they are healthy and delicious. Vitamins are an amazing way for you to get the nutrients that you aren’t receiving if you don’t eat the healthiest. I love the clear skin and body detox, because it features organic algae as well as milk thistle(a restorative root extract).

Stay cautious of getting the recommended 8 hours of sleep. If you’re heading in/out of different timezones, your body will eventually feel it. Don’t slack on getting the right amount of sleep and get some extra sleep if you can.
